Got a question. Just traded my ’99 TC33 on a ’04 TC29D. Had .6 hours on it. My TC33 was used when we bought it, so it was already broke in. My question is that around 2200+ RPM, the TC29D starts chugging just a little and puffing WHITE smoke. If you hit the 2500 (540RPM PTO speed) it’s a steady outflow of white smoke. I'm talking bug sprayer smoke! It’s already been back to the dealer who dyno’ed it for over an hour and said that it was a cold running machine and under load it would warm up much quicker. He said it would most in likely “break in” and quit. I’m not new to farm equipment, but of the 9 tractors mine and my wife’s families have owned over the last 30 years, I’ve never had one do like this. However, outside of my TZ24DA that we just bought as well, this is the first NEW tractor we’ve owned. Temperature isn't the problem either as it's around 76 this morning.
Any input will be greatly appreciated concerning break-in items to look for.
Greg

UPDATE - Used her for about an 1-1/2 hours this afternoon. Once I finished installing my Bush Hog 2246QT loader, we went to work doing some light gravel work to break her in. Once under load, smoke stopped and didn't return. I know why she smokes - SHE WANTS TO WORK!!!
However, if anybody has any thoughts or ideas, suggestions such as fuel adders, please feel free..............
Thanks - Greg ....

Working on them every day I know those engines are cold natured sobs. Regardless if it is 10 degrees or 100 degrees you will always have to preheat and they will always smoke a bit(or allot) till they warm. (they are still tier I engines) ....

First stage of emissions regs. Tier I, II, and finally III.
First is allowed a little to moderate smoke during warm up.
Second a little less.
Third none at all. ....
